The Lord laid these words on my heart one night, and would not let me rest until I wrote them down ..I don't know who they are suppose to help? maybe you? or some one you know..Please help me get "I am the Parent," to as many as we can. I am the Parent, God entrusted me with this responsibility
I will:
I will:
Check the video games my child plays;
Do the rules require them to kill or fight as
many people possible to win the game? does it teach that killing "real People" is just a game? as played out in many high schools across America?
Seek out the music my child listens to;
I will look at the covers, does the picture scare
the day lights out of me? I will pull out the lyrics, or listen to the songs, do they incite violence? Are they filled with profanity, racial, or anti religious slurs? Does my child sing
or chant lyrics from one of the songs that is embedded in their mind?
I will:
See what my child looks at on line;
Is it a web site that is ungodly, trying to draw my child
away from me? such as getting my child into bondage to pornography, hate groups, or
striking up conversations with unknown individuals in a dark chatroom? winning my child
away from me, and possibly setting up a meeting with them. Perverts wanting to seduce
or even worse, murdering them. Hundreds of children are disappearing yearly due to
these "so called friendly people", never to be seen again!
I will:
Become familiar with my childs friend's;
Are they members of gangs, do they vandalize
property? are they disrespectful to adults and others in authority? Are these "friends" that will influence my child, and lead them through the jail house door, or worse yet, through
HELL'S gate?
I will:
Check my childs room for drugs;
It is not invading my child's privacy,(invading their privacy
would be walking in on them, while the are using the bathroom) if you fell there could be
drugs changing your child into person you don't know! check!, one day you may go into their
room, and discover that they over dosed on drugs! who are you going to blame!. Say to
yourself, I am not going to let drugs bury my child! and I will do whatever it takes, no matter
how mad they get at me now!.
I will:
Make sure that my child is not indulging in the occult;
Is my child worshipping satan? don't laugh and say of course not. Many good kids are getting caught up in the occult through items listed above! The children who were killed in the Columbine high school were Christians! and the two children who killed them done the devil's work, and then took their own lives!.
I said:
Many parents, before me have said, not my child!
Then they hold their heads in shame when they discover that their child took a gun to school and many died at their hands, why? was it the violent video games, mind altering drugs, their music, hate groups, the Internet, so called friends my child hangs with, or the occult?
Slow down, get out of the fast lane, pull off the road, turn off my engine, turn on the emergency flashers. Take a good look around" look for the warning signs! And say "I am the Parent , you are my child!

I am your Child, God gave me to you;
Sure, I think, I know right from wrong, but I do look to you, and I want you to guide me through these trying times, which you have traveled before me. I do want to be someone you can be proud of and don't want you to hold your head in shame over me. I am your Child!. I have seen others, who could not walk down the path alone, confused and fed up, take their own life. Maybe to just say, I needed you to help guide me down this path of life, but you were to busy. You didn't see my out stretched hand to you!
I will:
Reclaim my Child before it's to late! "I am the Parent"
