The model was built from the AMT '67 Mustang. The body was modified by radiusing the wheel opening, removing the door handles, wipers and scripting. The front lights and tail lights were filled with Bondo spot Putty.
Wheels, teardrop hood scoop, and roll cage are from the AMT '66 Ford Galaxie kit. The wide tires came from the AMT '66 Mustang, header pipes are from the AMT '63 Studebaker Avanti
and were modified with coffee stirrer straws grafted to the ends.
I used parts from my parts box, and fabracated a few such as the air filter and oil filter tank on the left front of the engine compartment. I even found a racing helmet and threw it on the floor board.
The engine, engine compartment, and under carriage was weathered. I used model tree piece's ( the plastic that the model parts are attached to), they were cut and shaped for the side, front and rear push bars, as well as for the
rear extension of the roll bar and the safty enclousure around the engine. I also heated and streched piece's to make the fuel lines, oil lines,
brake lines, battery cables and linkages. I used a piece of yellow tree, to make the yellow spark plug wires.
There were no aftermarket parts used in building this model.
